Laura and Mike married at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City, MI on July 21st, 2018 surrounded by friends, family and some rain. Rain can be a real bummer on a wedding day, I get it. If there’s one person whose probably most bummed on a wedding day if it’s raining, it’s probably me. BUT I also LOVE the rain. I embrace that rain on a wedding day because it brings growth, beauty and necessary change to the earth and I think that’s perfect for a wedding day.
Laura and Mike’s wedding day was beautiful. The rain came down hard as guests arrived under umbrella’s, and while they were exchanging rings, vows and kissing into the future. Despite the rain, this wedding had ALL the details. Everywhere you turned at the Hagerty Center there was these adorable details that you could tell were very thought out. The mints with the custom wrappers, the candy with their names, the cute coasters that people could write advice on, and the candle that they would light together during ceremony. Laura and Mike made their day perfect.
Laura and Mike,
It snowed during your engagement shoot and it rained on your wedding day, and I think that’s so magical and perfect for you two. Marriage brings a kind of change that requires love, compassion, patience, and surrendering and you two have all of that and more in your relationship. I watched you both bring all of those things to the table when we had to endure those cold, frigid temperatures during your engagement session and the rain on your wedding day. It was beautiful to witness to two people give their love to one another that will last a lifetime. You are both surrounded by so many loving, supportive and kind people who I know will help in a heart beat if the weather brings you two challenges that require extra hands on deck and that is a blessing. Thank you for letting us be apart of your wedding and trusting us to capture all those beautiful moments that will forever remind you that you are a truly powerful duo.
