This wedding holds a special place in my heart. I've known Carly since she was a little elementary school kiddo and have known her family for so many years. Their family for the better part of my high school years, were a second family to me. So it was more than just an honor and a privilege to document Carly's big day. Travis and Carly surrounded themselves with so many wonderful friends and family and it was amazing to see everyone come together in this adorable little, quaint church in Howell Mi. The rain did not stop anyone from coming to watch these two commit to one another, and it definitely didn't stop Carly and Travis from soaking in all the joys of the day.
I kicked things off by hanging out with Carly and her crew while they got ready. Carly, as a fitness guru and educator, she stayed especially hydrated while getting ready with her gallon of water. (Brides, take note! Girl was smart for remembering to drink lots of water in preparation for the day!) Chelsea her maid of honor could barely get through her maid of honor speech, which resulted in ME barely getting through her speech. (If people start crying, it's a reflex, I will start crying too, so thank you Chelsea! ;) ) They had the pleasure of having Travis's mom and her band play some amazing polka music to kick off dancing. Also, there were was a tower of oreos and donuts! YUM!
Carly and Travis. Oh gosh. THANK YOU. It was an amazing day, and I'm so eternally grateful that I got to be apart of your day in this way. As a photographer, you get to be front row to all the good stuff and I wouldn't have wanted to spend your day any other way than front row, watching you two tying the knot. Your love is so sweet, so lovely and wonderful. I know you two are going to go the distance and I hope that these photos remind you of what an incredible day it was. There were so many amazing people who support and love you, myself included. So cheers to you two and the love you have built and will continue to build because of this day!
