I met Helen & Kyle in Grandville, Michigan for their engagement session back in December after Christmas!
For those who remember, shortly after the holidays the snow had melted and there was no snow on the ground by the end of the month. Which, I'll be honest, I was okay with it. When clients have to trek through snow, base their outfits off of snow boots, AND freeze their butts off, it's just sort of a bummer. So when I was on my way to their engagement session there was no snow.... and then it slowly started snowing.. and by the time I had gotten there, there was a little dust on the ground, and by the time Helen and Kyle arrived, it was a blizzard. All in a matter of like, 10 minutes? Straight up blizzard. These two grin and bared it so so well. Snow stuck to them so fast, and there was this amazingly awful wind that was just not ideal.
Despite the weather, Helen and Kyle embraced the shoot successfully and just focused on each other. I'll be honest, if I was in their shoes, I would've lasted like... 2 seconds and my face would not have been as gorgeous as Helen's. She smiled, laughed, and kissed Kyle endlessly as if there wasn't cold snowy wind nailing her in the face the whole time. Her hair at one point was soaking wet, and she didn't complain once. They embraced the weather like champs! Power couple right here, people! Thank you Helen and Kyle for a great afternoon in the snow! As I've already gushed, you guys did amazing and I couldn't ask for better clients, seriously! <3
