At the end of October, I met up with the Lillibridge's at Spring Grove Park to not only do Spencer's pictures but to do some photos and a video announcing their 3rd and final pregnancy! I'm testing out some projects centered around pregnancies and newborns, so if you know anyone who is pregnant, send them my way! I'm in the beginning stages of these ideas so I need test bunnies! ;)
When Liz announced to family that they were pregnant with their 3rd, she told me she wanted to do videos along the way of the major moments. I began testing out the video for babies last year when I documented Madison and Trevor's newborn, Graham and I'm currently in the process of putting together a highlight video of all of Graham's milestone markers. For Liz, she wanted to do an announcement to friends and family with the good news, as well as a video for the gender of the baby! I have links to all those videos below! :)

So, I'm going to be honest here. When I left this session, I felt really defeated. #artistinsecurities Photographing a 4 year old boy is hard. I love Spencer, he's energetic, passionate about tractors and farm life, loves monster trucks, and dirt. But the dude made me feel incapable of doing my job, haha. The good news in all of this, is that when I began editing these images, I quickly realized that this is hands down one of my favorite sessions, ever. I captured him so perfectly. He glared at me a lot, protesting that he did not want his picture taken, ran from me, hid from me, would sit still for like .5 seconds giving me no time to focus my camera but... I pulled it off! I thought I hadn't gotten a single smile from him, and that all my images were probably of him angry but when you let a kid do his thing and you work around that, everything gets captured perfectly. I love everything I got and choosing favorites was so hard! Spencer, the 4 year old, taught me to have a little more faith in what I do, and to let the kids do what they do and it will be perfect.
Thanks Liz, Ryan, Spencer and Gabe for a perfect session, at a perfect location! I'm so excited for you guys while you enter this last phase of your lives as a family of 4 and enter a family of 5! :)
